A person close to the matter said the driver of the car did not know how to drive the car which led to the fatal accident. After knowing about the demise of two students, Paul W. Bryant High School issued a statement that reads, “The Tuscaloosa City Schools will not confirm or release the student’s name because it has not been released by the Tuscaloosa Police Department.”

The school further added, “However, we all are deeply saddened and our thoughts are with the student’s family and friends. This is a difficult time for our students, faculty, and staff.
